Dr. Pete Catalano is a family medicine provider who believes that great health starts with primary care. "It is important to establish a relationship with a primary care provider so a baseline of your health can be determined," he said. "This makes it much easier to detect when something is wrong, which leads to earlier treatment and better outcomes." He encourages open and honest communication with patients and their families, and always treats people the way he wants to be treated. Growing up, Dr. Catalano knew he wanted to follow his father’s footsteps and become a doctor. "My father influenced me to become a doctor," he said. "He was a great man and a great doctor whom I looked up to." Now that he is a doctor, he cannot imagine doing anything else. Dr. Catalano received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and then completed a family medicine residency program at the University of Arizona. When he is not working, Dr. Catalano enjoys good food, working out at the gym and hiking.
