About Hope Ann Goodman

Hope Goodman, DNP, is a nurse practitioner who strives to improve the quality of life for all her patients. As a primary care provider, she believes she has "the opportunity to teach people about their medical conditions and healthy living while coordinating their care among specialists for the best outcomes." After caring for her parents through their own patient journeys, she said that building trusting relationships through open communication is essential for providing the best patient care. "I understand how important it is that providers work with patients in line with patients' own goals and priorities, and how important it is to provide them with information so they can make their own decisions," she said. "Taking the time to listen openly before giving an answer may change the answer." As a health care provider, Goodman sees anxiety and depression as two of the biggest risks facing our community. Education, communication and coordination with her patients can help alleviate these issues. "If you are established with a primary care provider who already knows you and your health history, personal priorities and views on medical care," she said, "then when you get sick, it is easier to trust that your provider is doing the right thing for you personally." Goodman is an Anrizona, local, originally from a small town in Northern Arizona. As the first college graduate of her family, Goodman received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Northern Arizona University, followed by earning her doctorate of nursing practice the University of Arizona
