About Stacie Michelle Homan

Stacie Homan, FNP, believes that being a primary care provider allows her to support her patients throughout their lives. Especially after spending 15 years in adult intensive care units, she says that "my relationship with my patients is always a partnership. I will often share that I see a big part of my role is to explain what the health issue is, including treatment options." With a passion for women's health and cardiac issues, she credits the excellent care her mother received through her life for modeling what it meant to be a good provider. "Observing the care she received through the years - both good and maybe not so good - helped me form an idea of the kind of healthcare provider I wanted to be,' she said. Calling Tucson home for 20 years, she sees diabetes as the biggest risk facing our community. "Diabetes is an insidious disease that affects the whole body. But, with proper management in conjunction with primary care providers it can be managed effectively,' she said. Born in Michigan and growing up largely in San Diego, but she and her family love the desert and calling Tucson home. Stacie earned her FNP at NAU where she met her husband and fell in love with the mountains. They moved to Tucson to raise their family.
