Dr. Anna-Marie Cosentino is a pediatrician who values trust in her relationships with patients. "I think the most important part of any relationship is trust and that is especially true with the doctor/patient relationship," she said. "I like to have a more relaxed rapport with my patients and their families so we can really get to know one another and develop the trust between us." Taking care of families is rooted deep in Dr. Cosentino’s heart. When she was a young child, her grandmother passed away from a brain tumor, and her aunt is a local pediatric surgeon. These two women inspired her desire to care for patients and their families. Born in North Carolina, Dr. Cosentino came to Tucson when she was an infant, and has been here ever since. She attended the University of Arizona for her undergraduate and medical degrees. She completed her pediatrics residency program in Tucson as well. Dr. Cosentino met her husband in high school. The couple and their three children stay in Tucson to be close to family. "We also love the community of Tucson," she said. "It has the resources of a city but feels like a small town." When she’s not working, Dr. Cosentino enjoys spending time with her family and reading.
