Dr. Kayleen Seaton is a family medicine physician with a passion for creating patient-focused treatment plans while treating her patients with care, respect and compassion.
Her philosophy is to prevent illness through routine screenings, while also learning how to sustain a healthy lifestyle through proper nutrition, adequate movement and appropriate treatment. "I have learned the importance of compassionate listening, advocating for my patients and why early intervention and prevention are key," she said.
Dr. Seaton was drawn to the medical field after her mother was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, requiring not only multiple hospitalizations, but surgery as well. It was this experience that reminds her each day what it feels like to be a family member of a loved one with a chronic condition and the implications it can have on the whole family. It's also the main reason why her areas of interest are women's health and preventive care.
Originally from Vail, Colorado, she earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado in integrative physiology, psychology and neuroscience. She then completed two master degrees: one at the University of Northern Colorado and one at Midwestern University in Illinois in biomedical sciences. She received her medical degree from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale.
When she's not caring for her patients, Dr. Seaton enjoys spending time with her husband, lifting weights in her home gym, playing golf, spending time outside hiking and mountain biking, skiing in Flagstaff and reading books. The sunshine and love of the outdoors is why she loves living in Tucson.
